Painting here operates as an analogue of the leap - spontaneous, intuitive - mirroring both the inner chaos and the fluidity of water as a metaphor for human experience.

In this series, I explore the moment of freedom and movement, focusing on the instant of leaping into water. Each painting captures a gesture that lasts only a fraction of time - the leap of my younger sister - ight, carefree, and free.

The impulse for the series came from watching her swim in a pool during an air raid in Odesa. In that leap, I recognized an affirmation of life.

For me, this act becomes a space of suspension and reflection, where dynamism collides with stillness, and water appears as an element that both supports and resists, remaining unpredictable. Painting itself becomes an analogue of the leap - spontaneous, intuitive - mirroring inner chaos and the fluidity of water as a metaphor for human experience.
