A moment that has already passed remains accessible in different ways - depending on whether it is possible to return to it.

Sofiia Holubeva works with the landscape of the Odesa region - a space that remains physically accessible yet undergoes irreversible transformation. Her repeated journeys to and returns from Odesa create a temporal distance through which a familiar landscape appears displaced, no longer corresponding to the image preserved in memory. Here, return does not restore continuity or sameness; instead, it reveals the rupture between lived experience, memory, and present reality.

In her work, the artist also turns towards the future, giving it the form of documentary evidence - as though it were something that has already taken place. This gesture shifts the future from the realm of speculation into the realm of presence, making it more tangible and open to collective reflection.

Viktoriia Rozentsveih draws on her personal photographic archives and visual materials from the Kherson region - places to which physical return is no longer possible. Access exists exclusively through the image, through the ways in which memory preserves, reconstructs, and transforms what can no longer be verified through direct experience. The image here does not document; it substitutes. It assumes the function of a place while remaining an unstable and unreliable carrier of memory.

In both practices, landscape, domestic space, and the everyday are inseparable. They become forms of rootedness - elements through which a sense of stability and belonging is constructed. The exhibition unfolds within this zone of tension: between presence and absence, between return and its impossibility, between material accessibility and physical inaccessibility, and between memory as a source of support and memory as a process of continuous transformation.
